Starting a Home Based Business – SBDC – San Leandro @ REACH Center
Apr 28 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Starting a Home Based Business (San Leandro)

What do Apple Computer, Hershey’s, Mary Kay Cosmetics, and the Ford Motor Company have in common?

These well-known corporations all started out as home-based businesses. In fact, more than half of all U.S. businesses are based out of an owner’s home.

This free seminar discusses several elements necessary for starting a successful home-based business. These elements include:

* Business planning
* Licenses and permits
* Finances
* Marketing, including websites and social media
* Taxation
* Work/Life balance

Understanding these issues is critical to becoming a successful home-based entrepreneur.

This seminar is sponsored by the Alameda County Community Development Agency.
