The City of Fremont retained Keyser Marston Associates (KMA) to conduct a nexus study to determine whether an affordable housing impact fee on non-residential development is justifiable as a way to increase resources for affordable housing.

The City will be facilitating a meeting on March 6, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. to provide an overview of KMA’s nexus analysis including findings and recommendations. In addition, you will have an opportunity to provide the City and KMA with your feedback and comments.

Assemblymember Bill Quirk Honors Women of the Year
Susan Ojeda-Cobos has been named the Business Honoree for the 2017 Annual Women of the Year Awards by Assemblymember Bill Quirk.
Susan will be honored in a ceremony on Saturday, March 11 in the Chabot College Event Center, 25555 Hesperian Blvd.

- Jo A. Loss, lifetime achievement honoree.

It’s nearly time for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church’s annual Spaghetti Feed!
Join us from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, for an evening of food and fun. The festivities will be held in Holland Hall at the church site, 38801 Blacow Rd., Fremont.
FOOD: Four kinds of pasta are on the menu, in addition to Caesar salad, garlic bread, and dessert that includes, of course, tiramisu.
Beer and wine will also be served, for an extra charge.
FUN: The evening’s entertainment includes a silent auction, an ongoing raffle with prizes every 15 minutes, a special kids’ zone, and proceeds benefit HTLC’s ongoing community outreach and service programs, such as George Mark House.
TICKETS:
- Prices are $15 per adult,
- $10 per child under 12,
- and kids under 3 eat free.
- Family tickets (two adults and two or more children) are $45.
The Fremont Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 2017 State of the City on March 31st, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Marriott Fremont Silicon Valley. Mayor Lily Mei will discuss key progressions and important issues facing our City, and we will also salute our Chamber volunteers and install our new officers.
Chambers Join for Rowell Rancho Rodeo Mixer
We’ll celebrate a networking mixer from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at the Rowell Ranch Rodeo grounds along with the Castro Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Our friends at the rodeo are chamber members and will treat us with a real cowboy experience, including food, drinks and prizes. Bring your cowboy hat and boots for this one-of-a-kind mixer.
